Below are samples of my instructional design work across the years. Within, you will find recordings of lectures, video news blasts, eLearning module snippets, and more. I have crafted a wide variety of educational materials for adult learners; if you have questions about my work, please use the contact page to reach out.
Online Vaccine Training
This is an excerpt from a training on the COVID vaccine for patient-facing healthcare staff members who declined the vaccine. I wrote, performed and edited this web-based module.
Because of project constraints, I was not able to include interactive elements in this training. I decided to used voiceover to improve learner engagement, with closed captioning for accessibility.
King County Permit Center
When King County Public Health transitioned to a new permitting software, they needed educational content to assist the public. I developed a series of short videos and job aids aimed at assisting customers in creating accounts, troubleshooting, and navigating the permit center website.
This video walks users through creating their account in the new system, then finding their old data once it has been imported.
Weekly COVID Video
These videos informed staff at my institution about changing policies pertaining to COVID-19. This was in the middle of the pandemic, when clinical information was still being discovered. I devised this weekly video release as a strategy to help staff navigate the rapid changes to COVID policy.
I wrote, edited and delivered the content for these weekly updates. They were shown to improve awareness of COVID policy among staff.
In-Person Onboarding
This is a snippet from an onboarding training I lead with incoming healthcare professionals. I trained them on infection prevention concepts in the clinic.
This training included standard content found in most hospital onboardings, tailored to our unique patient population. I thoroughly enjoyed giving these trainings because it gave me an opportunity to engage staff and give them a strong foundation on infection prevention concepts critical to their role as healthcare providers.
